Mesa Public Library Retro-Commissioning - Mesa Public Library features a unique Pajarito footprint consisting of approximately 48,000 sq. ft. The building houses lobby, meeting rooms, a bookstore, and private reading areas; and fiction, nonfiction, reference, young adult, and children's areas—all of which have a defined presence, while still being linked spatially, to allow for monitoring and assisting patrons. The entry courtyard, reading garden, and children's reading deck provide multi-purpose exterior spaces.

Total Building Commissioning (TBC) provided retro-commissioning services, which was to identify and make recommendations on temperature and humidity controls. The first phase of this multi-phased project was to identify and correct several operational and mechanical deficiencies, which were implemented at little or no cost to the owner. TBC was involved in phase two, which was the design of changes to the mechanical systems. Phase three was the upgrade to the control system.
