The Salt Lake City Airports have embarked on an airport development program that provides the Airport the flexibility to react to changing economic conditions and travel patterns in the future. The new buildings have a sustainable goal of aiming to achieve a LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Providing commissioning for the new Salt Lake Terminal Redevelopment Project is prime Commissioning Authority NV5 and TBCx, their strategic Partner providing local commissioning support.
The new rental car facilities – the QTA and RSS buildings – were commissioned in 2016/2017. The next phase for commissioning is the Central Utility Plant followed by a new parking garage, gateway center, Terminal, and the west portion of the South Concourse, opening in 2020. The North West Concourse will open in early 2021.

- Fire Suppression
- Fire Alarm
- Emergency Power systems
